Robotic Welding Programming

Course Catalog & Program Descriptions

The WTEC program consists of short, but intensive, courses designed with extensive hands-on training to prepare workers to exceed industry expectations.

American Welding Society certified instructors teach courses at Fab Masters Company aluminum fabrication facility.

Your time spent here will prepare you for nationally recognized American Welding Society Certification testing.

As an American Welding Society Certified Welder, you will be joining the ranks of an in-demand, highly-skilled labor force that gives you an edge in obtaining a career in the welding field.

Read more about the benefits of being a Certified Welder.

Certificate of Completion

Participants will be graded on a pass/fail basis.

The participants will receive a Certificate of Completion based on a score of 70% or higher on written tests and by demonstrating the ability to perform welds using GMAW / GTAW or Robotic processes and machines during lab assignments.

While a Certificate of Completion from WTEC does not necessarily guarantee your skills in the welding profession, the American Welding Society Certification is globally recognized.

Welding students that pass the class will be eligible to test for AWS Certification.

American Welding Society (AWS) Certification Test

Test consists of welding two (2) coupons for testing in flat or horizontal position. Testing and documentation will be provided by an independent licensed AWS inspector and may take up to 4 weeks for processing.

"The challenge urgently faced by the welding industry is a major shortage of skilled welders in the United States. With approximately 500,000 welders in the workforce, the average welder today is in their mid-fifties and nearing retirement... Since welding is the most common way to join metals--which is critical to manufacturing, construction, energy, and infrastructure--it is vital to rebuild our welding workforce."
